Pre-heating the lamp requires 1.5-2 hours or more, depending on the room temperature. The ceramic-coated cement heating base contains a small amount of moisture, which will evaporate when used for the first time, resulting in a "smoke" effect, a normal phenomenon. For optimal performance, use the lamp in room temperatures between 22 and 25 degrees Celsius (71.6 to 77 Fahrenheit), as the wax may move slowly if the temperature is below 20 to 25 degrees Celsius (68 to 77 Fahrenheit).
